Good question Phil. :hmmm:
Looking at this other photo from a different angle, it's technically a weir.

It was taken on my 50th birthday back in 2003 when we met up with my son, who was at Uni in Sheffield and my parents from Cheshire.
I've got a feeling we might have walked from Monsal Head along the river to Cressbrook and Millers Dale, but I can't pinpoint that weir on any of my maps. I'm sure you'll be able to work out where it is sometime. :)

Picturesque Weir in Florac by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

An unnamed, well to me, picturesque weir we passed as were heading out of Florac on a lovely summer’s day.

Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D10-01: Day 10 of 12 – Florac to Gare de Cassagnas: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (#GR70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Nothing as huge and dramatic as many in here, but Buttermilk Falls in Beaver Falls PA (near Pittsburgh); em10i ,12-45mm, and those metal things you put on the bottom of your shoes so I wouldn't fall on my butt

Good Afternoon,

Rhode Island's tallest hill is ~804ft (Jerimoth), and this is their tallest waterfall, at a total vertical drop of 12 feet (if that)...Weber Falls. Shot with a combo of Laowa 7.5mm f2 and Lumix 12-60mm f3.5-f5.6.

Regards,

Edd

Good Morning,

Traveling back through Rhode Island brought me to a made-made set of falls that are part of their state water supply system. Used the Pen-F and Laowa 7.5mm f2 with N.D 3.0 (10 stops) for these...going back with IR camera on next trip.

Regards,

Edd

Good Evening,

An early morning trip back to the Ponaganset Falls, part of the Scituate Reservoir system for the State of Rhode Island. Used a 3-stop graduated ND filter to help balance the light levels.

Regards,

Edd

I don't recognise the first waterfall Brian. Do you remember where that was?

Only after I quoted did I realise how very late to the party I am, but now I'm here.......

I think this is the other way along the river, maybe half-a-mile(?) walking from Monsal Head away from Cressbrook but towards (eventually) Ashford in the Water.

:)
