Slothead, I got shadow from the flash on OM-D using the 25mm without the hood. And the OM-D elevates the little flash some due to the hump. If I get the EPL-5 from this major GAS inducing thread you've started, I'll be mounting my FL-600R on top. Or, perhaps have the FL-600R in one hand and use the little flash as the master.
Sorry, can't really answer that because I never take the hood off and am using a metz now. But what I can tell is, even with the shipped flash light, the hood doesn't leave a shadow in the image as easily as it used to do on a GF3.
Two shots with the Tamron 180mm 2.5 with 25mm extension. The E-PL5 and VF2 work well to help stabilize the Beast. Heavy but seems very sharp! The second shot is a huge crop.
Im new the forum and have just bought an E-PL5, my first serious camera since using P&S's. Still have a lot to learn and am inspired daily when looking at some of the images you guys are producing on the same camera and lens'. Went with the PL5 for its size and price, was leaning towards the OMD or E5 but as Im travelling next year I wanted something smaller and could get the E-PL5 w/ kit lens, Oly 45mm f1.8 and VF4 for the same price as the OMD with its whether seal kit lens..

Since the picture was taken Ive just received my Oly 40-150mm f/4-5.6 and the Lumix 20mm f1.7 is in the mail! I think that'll set me up pretty well for my travels.
Cheers guys, looking forward to posting up some pics and asking a few questions soon.
