Vintage Prontor 105mm, f4.5 - 7. This is practially useless:

Damaged Pentax 50mm f1.7. I removed all bar the front element from this lens which had been dropped down stairs and was not only out of alignment but also wouldn't focus, hence the grinding away of the outside. This is a super-soft lens. Not useful on a daily basis, but fun:

The Zenith photo sniper is interesting.
"Oh I'll just put this on my camera and go and take some pictures at the airport!"

The photographer with the Nikon 70-200 F2.8 uses the GF1 as a 2x teleconverter.

Please avoid the obvious comments. "What a whopper etc....."

Contax G Lenses

The Contax G 90mm f/2.8 Sonnar, 35mm f/2 Planar, and 45mm f/2 Planar with the Panasonic Lumix GF1. The 35 is mounted to the GF1 with a Fotodiox G-m43 adapter which I do not recommend. Waiting for a new geared adapter which should be easier to focus than the Fotodiox.

I really like this second photo. If the camera didn't have that case on it, it would have an even more real timeless quality. That little girl's face being out of focus, along with the foreground, works really well because even though she is blurred she seems to me to be the observed observing in this moment of time.

Also love quality of the light reflecting from the bottle and the edge of the camera. If it's not in Paris, it feels as though it must be - or in some other equally as romantic and literary a place. That's my fantasy anyway.

Oh and a nice lens, too.

Sorry to be pedantic for a moment but Prontor is the (famous) name of the shutter; the lens seems to be "Victar". (But whatever it's called, it's handsome!)

GF1 with Leitz 50mm f2 Summicron

I received my Novoflex adaptor last week so finally able to mount my M lenses on the GF1.

This is the lens I suspect I will use most as it will be a great 100mm portrait lens.

Photos taken via all these delightful old lenses will of course have to go through some computer. The computer should of course have similarly good handling characteristics.

Stephen Gandy says on his web site that the 50 Dual Range Summicron will not mount on a M4/3 camera (obviously "even with an adapter").

Cannot anyone confirm this or otherwise?

Does he mean will not mount with the "eyes" or will not mount at all

I just got a "metabones" LM-M43 adapter for fit my 50mm Summicron Dual-Range to GF1, it really perfect!!!!!
(I try other china adapter & Voigtländer adapter but they can't fit this len to M43 camera too.)

Voigtländer 50mm f2 Heliar Classic

This lens is as jewel-like as any I have ever seen. It collapses, but not enough to interfere with the E-P2 sensor. It has a bayonet lens hood intended to be left on at all times. The lens cap is fiddly to get off with the hood in place, so I have stored that and substituted a push on generic cap which fits over the hood.

An incomplete and purchased for parts, german[not singaporean] rollei a110 provided the lens for this"body cap" adapted optic. to achieve perfect infinity focus some shaving of the body cap surface was necessary prior to screwing the nicely made brass housing down .

it has a nice toothed edge and enuf "travel" to be turned from infinity to about 4 inches . its pretty good at normal distances but with extreme shallow focus it gets glowy and less contrasty .

i suspect this is because of the exposed brass of the inside threads reflecting light around inside the lens ,[and also design?] too small to baffle and the problem does not happen when the lens is 15 inches or more from the subject

the lens itself is a 23mm f2.8 design with "made by rollei" and 3043183 engraved on the lens surround.

its fun to play with and its not bad either.
