This little lady has been 'living' in my garden for over 30 years now and always gives me a peaceful feeling.

This is one of the weirdest statues I've ever seen.
See if you can work out what it is. :hmmm:

Mussels, or Moules as I think they're known on the continent.
And the reason.
The statue is on the harbour in Conwy, North Wales, where, apparently this delicacy (yuck!) is landed by the local fishermen.
So, proud is the town of the mussels, that there is even a Mussel museum.

This is of an historic figure and is also a historic photo.
The great industrial genius Isambard Kingdom Brunel is commemorated here in Pembrokeshire after designing and building the Great Western Railway from London all the way to the West Wales coast.
The reason the photo is historic?
That's because this is the original bronze statue.
Sadly, it was stolen and probably melted down for scrap value, with the replacement made of resin.

Edit: I think this was taken with one of my work's cameras.
I lost it riding along the Neath Canal towpath when it must have bounced out of my saddlebag.
Once I realised it was missing I retraced my steps but have a feeling that one of the local fishermen pocketed it.
