I found this strange object at a garage sale in Northern California nearly 40 years ago. When I learned it was a duck press, I just had to have it. I've dragged it around with me ever since.

This is a watch maker's press, it's about 5" tall and 2" diameter at the base.

I'll have to ponder what I have that is unusual. Good idea. Also make an interesting crop and post that as a mystery item in the other thread. A Duck Press, yeah, I would have had to buy it and haul it around the world as well.

This is quite unusual, it's the bottom of a Victorian water tank, approx volume of 20,000 gallons, it's in my roof!

It has two outlets of approx 4" (the old outlet pipes), they're connected to downpipes and they in turn go outside the building to disperse the rainwater that falls on the flat roof and runs into the tank via a drain hole. When I have my sensible head on I think WTF did I buy this place for, but most of the time I have my slightly eccentric head on and I don't think about it
