Cobblers!
I wonder if that word has the same connotation throughout the English speaking world?
Anyway, I'm sure this boot fits here in the signs thread rather than street art.

Guarding Dogs - Mont Lozére - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D8-21 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Sadly, we did not come across any of these guard dogs. Would have loved to see them in action as this is not something one is likely to see in Australia.

Day 8 of 12 – Le Bleymard to Le Pont de Montvert: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Sawdust - you captured a terrifying road hazard for motorcyclists! I got introduced to those "rain grooves" almost 50 years ago riding a BMW R-69 from Michigan to Connecticut. The fearful memory of those grooves remains with me today. You can read about my experience here >>> my PDF document <<<.

docfox: Excellent article. Very well written. I had a good laugh at your "bug-beard". Thanks for the link!

This one spotted in the grounds of a JW.ORG hall in Bermudian Landing, Belize. You have to read it with the correct Caribbean accent.

Please note, just in case anyone is offended, this was not a joke but an actual sign in the grounds of the hall. Thought I'd better make that clear :)

An illustrated signboard which I made for my local council about 25 years ago: I think maybe it’s way past time they commissioned a replacement from somebody! ( I’m retired!).

We came across this plaque, cycling along the Millennium Trail between Carmarthen and Swansea here in South Wales.
In the first shot I tried (and failed miserably) to get a view of the Loughor Estuary, where I presume Amelia landed.
That's the Gower peninsula over the water, if you've trying to locate this place.
The local story is that upon meeting the the villagers that came out to greet her, she thought she'd landed in France as she couldn't understand a word of the Welsh language being spoken to her.
