Got the chance to check out the bioluminescence last night!

I haven't been able to do any low light shooting with the G9 yet. Started out on a tripod with 2 sec delay, but was having a hell of a time predicting and timing when/where the wave would break. I noticed that ~1" SS looked better than 3-4"+ so I just pulled it off the tripod and handheld the shots. Much better results!

The IBIS, red mode for viewfinder and rear display, and live view boost made it pleasant to try and shoot. This is .6", 3200 ISO, added a vignette and topaz denoise to get rid of noise. After this I felt I could just sell my tripod.

And this was my very first attempt at live composite a couple years ago on Coronado island, so it’s not quite exposed as well as I’d like. However, I captured a boat sailing from right to left in the shot, hence the horizontal light trails.
