Another thread titled: Sandstone by ripley baby inspired me to zip through the Image Library. Minimal images in the mu43 library. The iPhoto Library (nonmu43 images) images are of an area (MeyersBeach Sea Caves, Apostle Island National Lakeshore) that I will revisit & capture a few images using the mu43 gear. 1st couple images (Houghton Pt Land Conservancy)GF-1 with 14-45mm. Last couple were taken a few years ago with the LX-2. No ice year this season. Have to hope & wait for next winter to use the G2/GF-1.

This used to be an arch. Erosion caused it to collapse and now whats left is called a sea stack. On Lake Superiors Minnesota north shore.

I didn't know about it either, but it did come up in a search so I decided to revive it. I love the texture on the karst.

In New Guinea where we used to go caving the natives used to call it "Broken Bottle Country" as it was very sharp and one could walk over it for days looking for cave entrances. One slip could mean very nasty cuts.

Edit;
This is sometimes called "Rillenkarren"
