Here are some photographs of the River Po, Italy's largest and longest river. Here we are at Pomponesco near Mantova (Mantua)in Lombardy. The river around here is a favourite photo location for me.

This stretch is famous for it fog in Autumn.

Nice view terrace. The other sign is in Lombard dialect and is incomprehensible for me as I live across the river in Emilia.

Lots of walking/cycling tracks along the local river here. Very enjoyable way to spend an hour or two, & as an extra bonus, a good craft beer tastes extra spectacularly good once you get home, after earning it :)

Portugal - The Douro River... around every corner you'll find... another corner... and another! At one time, before the 5 dams were built, it was a very dangerous river for the boats filled with wine and port barrels to traverse. Now, it's a a very peaceful river to cruise. Beautiful country, beautiful river!
