A local park last week. Weather was supposed to be foggy so I was looking for a single tree with vibrant color, under normal circumstances, but it work out that way. Early the mist was just enought to wash out color but not dense enough to create the mood I wanted. Oh and the sky was a uniform white. It was like living under a bedsheet. Very late afternoon the mist ‘burned off’ giving only marginally better conditions.

Should I have posted this house with the tree and bush in front upside-down? (see attachment)
Just switch to full screen and move back 2 metres.

The river Lagan Belfast? I recognize the boat.
Yes indeed! We had an enjoyable, interesting, informative but somewhat somber weekend there at the beginning of November. The Crumlin jail tour, the Titanic visitor attraction and the black cab tour (a particular eye-opener) weren’t exactly uplifting (nor would I want or expect them to be).

Growing up in England didn’t give us anything like a rounded viewpoint of what was going on in Belfast, and we were somewhat taken aback by some of the conditions that still exist in the transition areas. This probably isn’t the place to go on with that, but we did love the place and the people and will be back!
