In Clinton, Missouri. Several old signs have been reproduced or restored around the City Square for the tourists, that hopefully will show up.
Interesting side note:
Clinton, Missouri has a population of about 9000.
Due to physical condition, I take most pictures from my Truck.
This sign sits at one of the entrances to the Downtown Square in Clinton.
I had pulled over to a parking place in the street, and raised my camera to shoot, when a Clinton Police Officer drove by my truck, noticed me with a camera in my hand, pointed out the window, and immediately stopped beside my truck.
This was on a Sunday afternoon, when the Square was the same as deserted. There were about 4-5 vehicles parked in the median of the route around the Square, with young people in them. This is the "entertainment area" for them.
The officer wanted to know what I was taking "pictures of". He said awkwardly that he was not accusing me, but there were young people (kids) in the area.
I told him I was shooting the sign on the side of the building.
After telling me he was just checking, he left.
This was a first for me. My truck has a work topper on it, with my name in very large letters, and other info in how to contact me, for work. Impossible to sneak around in my truck. We have lived here for over 40 years.
Welcome to the new normal, I guess...
