Poor image...sorry. Roll off driver observing all safety rules, and under watchful eye of observant fireman, while smoking a cigarette, while another fireman makes sure the fire is out.

Two squad cars arrived earlier for traffic control, and to assist as they could. Officer seen probably taking information for pages and pages of reports, probably.

I thought I'd post this here as, apart from being green, I've no idea what this would become, as it got pulled up as a weed!

On my stroll today I passed this photo shooting session of the newly-wed in our park.
I took advantage and got my version of this flower on her most important day without the rest of the party.

This is the Observation Tower overlooking the Ministry of Defence's Castlemartin Range in Pembrokeshire.

And a view of a small part of the range itself (on a miserable wet day I'm afraid).
It's used mostly by the British and German Armies for tank training.
While we were there, tanks were firing from the extreme left of the photo, probably two-thirds away across.

Our garden looking quite green this evening. That's the guest cottage in the centre with the local retirement home behind it. Our house is out of screen to the right,

That's a lovely calming garden Roddy (apart from when you're cutting all the grass).
And so handy for the retirement home too, when you've had enough.

The Head gardener does not yet let me cut the grass. I'm only allowed to dig holes, string fences, deal with chickens, pick up dog poos, cut branches, fell trees, and move large amounts of crud everywhere by barrow. She says I may sit the grass-cutting exam next year if I behave.

I am, however, head honcho of the Department of Ladders & Other Vertiginous Affairs. That's a bonus I enjoy in Fig Season, which is now. Quite how Fig Season happens to simultaneously occur with Angry Wasp Season and Drunk Hornet Season is not just a coincidence, I am sure.
