I always enjoy pictures of photographers. Here's my contribution. I ran into this guy on the Oceanside pier. He was very friendly and had all kinds of interesting photo stories. Turns out he's a professional. This day he was taking pictures of surfers with his 900mm-equivalent long lens. He posts them at a surfing website. Surfers know to look there for shots of themselves. If they like one, they can buy it. Lots of them do, the guy said.

Let's see your pictures of photographers.

After I snapped this photo I walked up and said, "I usually find photos of photographers more interesting than what they're shooting." They were taking photos of cars at a monthly outdoor car meet. When I asked if he was a professional, the guy on the right smiled and said, "I like to think so." He's still in military service but wants to have something to do when he gets out in two years. I checked out his website. Dramatic, colorful photos of tricked-out cars. I'll think he'll do OK.
