Thanks Lawrence... yes, I believe every good dog deserves a PEN-F! They are such precious creatures, you should keep her VERY well supplied with nice cameras and lenses!

And, I'm sure you will very much enjoy the PEN-F, when she's not using it, that is.

I'm not in the market for a new camera but that is gorgeous. It definitely loads up the 'wants' over 'needs' quotient. It just says grab me and take me with you. I'd never leave home without it. Looks the goods.

Peter... thank you. I agree, the camera really makes you want to put it to use. I've been snapping all kinds of random, non-interesting, stuff just because the camera calls me to do so. Image quality from the PEN-F is superb.

This isn't a camera that I NEEDED, as I've got GX7, EP5/VF4, GM5, LX100, Sigma DP1 & DP3 Merrill, Ricoh GR, etc., but it is a camera that I very much wanted for the rangefinder form factor, with built-in EVF.

When I ordered the PEN-F, I had also considered a GX8, but prefer the smaller size of the PEN-F (which feels JUST right - not too small, not too big) and having the 5-axis IBIS was important to me for the many longish exposures that I tend to make. I will probably add a GX8 (or perhaps wait for the GX9) to the mix at some point, but I doubt that I will let the PEN-F go away any time soon. It's a great and very enjoyable camera to shoot with!

The light is gorgeous, not convenient maybe, but lovely. You guys are making me want to unload stuff to finance getting this camera. Lovely stuff. But I will have to wait.

Thanks Lomo and Larry. The first two are with the Oly mZuiko 9-18mm, the rest are the Panasonic 14 f2.5.

Just purchased the 12-32mm specifically for this camera. It's a perfect lens to complete a compact scenic setup. Going to a bluegrass open house tonight, I'll see what I can get for pics with it. Although, I might have to go with the 20mm f1.7, great for low-light and compact. Heck, I'll bring both.

A few from the coffee shop last night. I ended up using the 20mm most of the time: the wide end of the 12-32mm wasn't needed while the wider aperture of the 20mm was helpful.

I was very nervous selling my EP-5's. Great cameras. Then I read so much negative stuff about the Pen F, I went to my shrink. He uses Leica's so no help.

So now that she and i are getting used to each other, I find most things bunk and don't pay attention. On the street, she's a very comfy camera and makes just seeing and working an easy task. They did a great job with this and I don't miss the Pen 5 yet.

I'm not a jpeg shooter at all but Oly and Adobe haven't made a deal yet, so for the time being I am. There's a lot of scuttlebutt about the front dial. What I like about it is, sometimes I want to see the screen in B&W and sometimes in Color. So, now it's effortless to change without getting the manual and figuring out the menu to change the screen. That's a feature that many shoot at but I find it a pleasure. I think even shooting raw, I will use the front dial to change screens and that makes it a very valuable feature.

Low light photos like this are often processed as B&W or high contrast. It's striking to see those lovely subtle browns. I was beginning to think I went to the only low contrast coffee shop in America.

The front dial is something I can see myself using just to challenge myself! The Pen-F is a fun camera, especially paired with the 15mm PL or the 42.5 PL. Couldn't sleep last night so I took one of my buddy while we were talking about 10 years ago.
