I tried the software today and got some pretty good results! I took some photos of a firefighter memorial and up until I tried Silver Efex, I really wasn't sure how to PP them. Sure enough, B&W was the way to go and this photo in particular turned out great:

The software is quick and easy to use, now I have a really great set of B&Ws. I'm planning on submitting one to the contest, just not sure which one.

I've been doing my own B&W conversions in photoshop for a decade, but finding that Silver Efex is giving results that are just as good with much less time spent. Going to have to add this to my tool chest.
Hey, nice images. I've have found pretty much the exact same thing with Silver Efex. Excellent B&W results but taking much less time to achieve them than before.

Nik Silver Efex pro conversions

I am so impressed with this software that I have just ordered the full software after using the trial.
