I've started this thread so that we can begin posting images created using Nik Software Color Efex Pro.

I'll begin a similar thread for Silver Efx shortly.

If you already own this NIK package, please post some before and after images. If you don't yet own the software, please download the trial version and have a go at it!

I'm trying CEP for the first time. Did some levels adjustments in Viveza as well... probably overcooked this one... but having fun trying! Lens = PL45

Same image as I showed in the SEP thread, different process. Mouseover to see the before/after:

Amin I prefer the greyish one : which is before and which is after?
On my screen the golden version is almost blowing out on his nose and cheek : not white just ... something is too bright.

Ulfric, I hear you. That's why I said I overcooked it. The duller one is the before.

If anyone else would like to do mouseovers, you can use the following HTML code:

Here's one of my first efforts with the Color Efex Pro (which I've also posted somewhere here some time ago ).

I found the image more and more to my liking with every adjustment. I've tried making the adjustments very subtle (most of the effect sliders were in the very low range, about 10%-20%). However, when put side by side with the original image, it looks like they were not very subtle at all. Or is it just me? What do you think? (Mouse over the image to see "Before" image - thanks, Amin!)

I almost always prefer a slightly warm image to one that has "correct" WB. These all look great.

Given NIK's sponsorship, I decided to play with this image I took in Grand Central Station.

Hi Walt,

That's very very cool. I've been messing around too, so far just Silver Efx & Color Efx.

The training videos are really nice. Have you watched any of them yet?

Actually, I haven't seen any of the training videos yet, but will probably check out the site on Easter Sunday when I have some downtime scheduled
