The Triumph T160 is exactly like my first bike back in the day.

Bill could have more info as he's a BMW lover.
He's posted some gems.

it's a BMW R69S

less likely - or even (an R69 and there was an R69US - all three have differences) - as modifications did take place - you have to be careful when buying a R69S - good ones sell these days for £10K upwards - and it is difficult to find one is running condition in the UK for less than £5K

they are highly sought after

white was favoured in the US

Europe always tended towards traditional BMW colours, (i.e. black)

I would love one but the nearest I have is an R80, (I sold my R60 a few months ago) - here is my Bike - a more modern Bike, (an R80) from 1986 whereas the R69S is from the 1960's

(but like a Leica you can always see the pedigree)

Not great images - more of a technical illustrative nature - and I took them before joining this illustrious forum!!!

and there is a slide show at the bottom of the page

Red BMW

Thanks ! Markitos: great shot. Which moto is it?
Rick: wow, a 6 cilinder Honda, is it yours? The Norton reminds me of early days.
Bill: you're THE BMW fan, to surprise you I will add a red BMW !

"Sharpness is a Bourgeois concept.” -- Henri Cartier-Bresson

Wow, I never saw that quote before - I freaking LOVE that quote!!!

Every time I'm tempted to get excited by some new whizbang camera/sensor, whatever and I see all of the reviews of the various different levels of corner sharpness, I find myself wondering if that stuff really MATTERS to anyone. For the kind of shooting I do, the m43 gear of today (even a few today's back, before the GH2 started competing with DSLR specs) is such almost overkill in terms of sharpness and technical wonderfulness. I'm finding the LX-5 an even better street camera than my m43 gear because of its wonderful hyperfocal setup and its enormous depth of field and lighting quick reactions. And the images aren't QUITE as sharp under a microscope, but my best photos aren't all that sharp anyway, so who cares?

Anyway, sorry to go waaaaay off on a tangent unrelated to this thread, but I just saw this quote in Markitos' post above and had to mention it. I wonder what Henri would be shooting with today????
