Hi, feel free to post a link.Around 10 years ago, a work colleague found a collection of negs that were in an expensive looking Eastman case that had been thrown into a waste receptacle. He asked if I could do anything with them. I photographed them on a X-ray lightbox and inverted the pics in PS, the quality was excellent. I don't think the photographs of 100 year old negatives breach copyright. The campaign was the Mesopotamian Campaign, I'm happy to share a few - but don't want to breach mod rules or copyright.
Copyright in the US & UK ends 70 years after the death of the creator, so it's still possible they're copyrighted.
In the US, if the government produced them, they would be public domain, but I don't know about UK.
In theory, ownership of the negatives would suffice, but that didn't go very smoothly in the Vivian Maier case.
