This is a "working" museum, in that many of the machines are demonstrated and run, periodically. I greatly recommend it if you are in the NW of England and like that sort of thing.

Also, I learned that IBIS is not very useful in low light indoors if the whole building is vibrating...

They are installing fiber optic internet cables in my neighborhood.

This entire rig was slowly inching it's way up the street. The guy on the tractor was attached to the trailer and was pushing, or being pulled by the Ford truck. No one is driving the truck.

The evolution of the farm tractor. Tracked, articulating. These are becoming very common. I see them from all the manufacturers including CAT, who isn't a major player in farm equipment. Kind of a heavy crop, all I had was the 12-60. I shot this out my driver's side window while moving.

No. 3 pylon on the T-bar lift, Chapelle, at the Bleymard Mont Lozére ski resort. We followed the lift for most of its 908 m as we headed to the summit.

Surprised they still let kids climb on those. All of the displays around here were removed or roped off due to liability concerns. Too bad, I used to love that when I was young.

They're allowed even today (wearing masks)
