a lovely lighthouse in an equally beautiful location.
You seemed to be free of Goose poo! (nēnē and Hawaiian goose )
When we were there you stepped around that and the beautiful goose.

Kauai is a truly beautiful place. I imagine this isn't all you saw.
Have you posted more?
Thanks for your interest!

I have images from previous trips in various threads. Not sure how you (or I) could locate them all. My posted images are almost all from my Flickr account (see my sig), so you could check my albums or do a search there.

I am slowly posting my most recent Hawaiian trip onto Flickr, and then from Flickr to here. Some pix in the bird and seascapes threads were posted today; more over the coming weeks. The Nene shots should be in a day or two in the birds thread. Waimea Canyon is a few more days away. I have some feral chicken (!) photos, too. Lots of other stuff coming. Good way to spend my time while avoiding the coronavirus.

One of my favorite lighthouse to photograph, an abandoned lighthouse off Waugoshance Point in Northern Lake Michigan with Gray's Reef light as a backdrop. The abandoned lighthouse was actually used for bombing practice in WW2. Sadly, high water levels in Lake Michigan have be doing more damage to the structure than those bombers did, eating away at the foundation with high waves and winter ice.

My latest angle of the abandonded lighthouse, this one showing a door (with steps showing!) and round window I never knew were there in my prior trips passing it. In this image you can clearly see the stone foundation on the right side really taking a beating. This makes sense since that is the side facing southwest and the full brunt of Lake Michigan's wrath with 300 miles of open water between the lighthouse and the Chicago waterfront. It allows the lake to generate steep waves during storms and high southerly winds, often in excess of 20 feet.
