I did a quick search and didn't see a thread for generic fog (which doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere) so I figured I'd start one. Caught this on my way in and out of the stuff on the way home tonight.

Being in California, fog is a given if one is on the coast (at least north of Point Concepcion), but my favorite fog image is from the Grand Canyon.

I don't often get the chance to photograph the fog I see - it's usually during my drive to work, and I don't leave enough time to stop & play with cameras even if I do have one with me.

I did have an opportunity to catch an offshore fogbank a few years back, fortunately this was a Saturday & it was still there after I'd raced home for my camera. (Taken in 2011 a couple of years before I had a MFT camera but the effect would be much the same with either the DSLR or mirrorless).

Every morning during late Spring through early Autumn has the potential to be very foggy up on the mountaintop. This is mild compared to what we often see.
