You all up north are lucky to get color already! I'm in northern VA (near DC) and my wife and I took a drive west and north (to Harpers Ferry, WV) and it mostly hasn't started there yet... maybe 10-20% only. We had a nice lunch though, and the lady there said "next week" ... it's ALWAYS "next week" !!

We had a nice lunch though, and the lady there said "next week" ... it's ALWAYS "next week" !!

I looked in my previous albums, and for some years, northern New Hampshire and Vermont turned in early-October (earlier than they did this year). For some years, I was taking the pictures at the same time (mid-October). To take those pictures, I needed to drive about 2 hours north of where I live (central Massachusetts). Down here, it has been rather mixed, with some patches turning, and others staying green.

Downunder we have spring (fast turning into summer ) but after a brief storm it looked like fall in my driveway too

Just a couple of pictures from our backyard this lunchtime . This is the last bit of colour we have in our yard until spring next year. The first one was shot from a Platypod which is a really cool piece of kit to allow low level shots. The second is just hand held with me crouching down.
The third picture was added after the original posting just to show the red leaves.

First time I've heard of a Platypod, Dave, so googled it: nice piece of kit!
