This giant mitten was created in 2000 by local women in the small village of Lovikka in Tornedalen, Sweden.
It is a traditional mitten from the village, it took 20 kg of wool yarn to create it and it was nearly white when new (with clear blue, yellow and red trim).
This was taken last year and today I heard that it has been taken down and buried as it was completely desiccated and falling apart.
