Okay, time to get back in the game after being away for a while. Porsche Cars & Coffee at the Blackhawk Museum a couple weeks ago, some shots (that last blue 911 is the one I would have taken home):

(edit: crap, I lost the exif in how I copy/pasted the images into the forum. Wide angle shots are Pen F / Oly 17mm f1.8, tele shots are E-M5.2 / Oly 45mm f1.2)

But enough elitest Porsches, how about Miatas? I did a run with a bunch of enthusiasts that were generally half my age, but a great bunch. I wish I could post some of the drone shots, but they weren't mine. All Half Moon Bay or nearby:

This car ^^ belonged to a 20-something woman who does extensive track days, some great gender diversity in this group.

Now that we've dispensed with the cars of the proletariat, let's return to Porsche- these are from the monthly gathering at Easy in Emeryville, California. Apologies again for losing the exif data, it';s just easier to copy/paste the images on this computer than download / upload:

A few more from Easy- I used a polarizer but still couldn't handle the reflections on the window of the first shot, but the seats are so cool I shared anyway. The second shot is Pen F / 75mm f1.8, the others are Pen F / 17mm f1.8

Oh, I wish you grabbed a shot of the car in front of the McLaren! That early 911 looks like it’s been very tastefully modded with those rear wheels.

Here you go:

A bit of a rare bird this one. I had a manual sedan, they did not bring a lot of the wagons here - and they were only automatics.

the Turbine rear is one of the few times I've see the wide-angle distortion 'work' on a car photo - kudos

1963 Chrysler Turbine. The last one is a short video of the Turbine engine running.

That's an awesome car
Just read up on it. Some interesting stories, videos etc.
The interior is distincly different and attractive IMO.

Wonder what a modern day version would be like given the technology available today.

Attended Cadwell Park circuit for some Historic racing and came across a car from the early 70's which I'd totally forgotten about. It is an Arkley SS which was based on an MG Midget. It left the cockpit area intact but replaced the rust prone nose and tail panels with fiberglass panels designed to mimic a Morgan / Frog Eye Sprite. A quick google search indicates that the panels are still available today!

That looks like a Caterham 7 nose grafted on... Cool car, great shots
