Somewhere I read some Scottish’ guy description of how scared he instantly became when his BX lost all hydraulics while cruising on some highway at high speed and the car dropped completely down in a split second losing all suspension ability to absorb the tinniest road imperfection -until he managed to stopped it he had turned pale white or so…A friend's dad's did that in their garage when the hydraulic pump split its housing .... (back in the 1960s).
What a mess!!
It is all a matter of the maintenance mechanic having proper comprehension of the system - then it is pretty reliable … but when the owner cuts corners going to non specialists things can go ugly pretty fast just by bending the wrong rod while fixing something elseMy parents had a 1983 GSA and a 1986 BX16 TRS which I drove often. Do not think either had any suspension issues. I have seem some SMs with a broken suspension.
The Isuzu Vehicross? Made about 6,000 of them, 4,000 came to North America, the rest in Japan. A friend has one and I have been low-key trying to find one for a while - they are surprisingly fun on the road for a trucklet that is actually very good off-road.I thought this why just a conception prototype or so
