passing by a workshop today I was surprised to see it naked to the bone so I turned around and learned that its body panels undergo some restoration work

Have seen these 2 beauties only by chance in a parking lot.
Had unfortunately only time for a quick snapshot.

Hi, Melanie.

There is a brand new lime/lemon yellow Jimny that's taken up residence a couple of streets away recently. Great little utility vehicle, just so long as it isn't driven like a WRX.

I nearly want one, except that I like my 2006 Forester too much ... ;) :) .

A Ferrari lurking at a car show at Mordialloc. Taken with my FTs f/4 7-14, IIRC.

I'd be pretty certain that the Forrester is a much more comfortable and refined ride 😃

My photographer friend has a Grand Vitara. He reckons that the Forester beats it hands down.

Except. The GV is built like a truck, and the Forester is an oversized, underpowered WRX. I can change into LR at any speed, but the Forester is easier to break in extreme conditions.

Those Suzukis sure have their following, and are very popular for being so light - much like my Daihatsu (although that's a notch more rugged), and the Subaru Brumby (which has that same, slick low-range lever arrangement).
