Two of the 'Queens' of Lake Luzern. There are 5 ships in the steamer fleet, the largest lake fleet in the world.
Isn't that Lake Lucerne?

Also, do you mean largest lake fleet in the world, or largest lake steamer fleet? Star Lines that runs between Michigan's mainland and Mackinac Island has 10 passenger ferries plus other ships like freight and utility.

From my front yard on the St. Lawrence River. Messing with the new Oly 100-400 and trialling Topaz Denoise AI. Wind had just shifted from the north to the west, so hazy conditions from the terrible fires out on the left coast.

It's 'Luzern' in German. I meant that it is the largest steamer fleet. There are many other diesel ships in the fleet but no other lake in the world has 5 paddle steamers in service.

I felt these two warranted the Sepia treatment, to give them that timeless look.

Where is this taken? Do you mind if I post it to the fishtug site(with credit given)?
I am sure someone on there will know her name/history -
Notice that they are somewhat different style than the tugs on the Canadian side -
Great shot - Thanks
