Thornbridge Mirrors 4.5% Pale Ale - light, refreshing, easy to drink - perfect beer for the first day wearing a sun-hat and worrying about sun-burn.

6.5% Brewdog Grapefruit infused IPA - good combo. Once the initial bitterness of the grapefruit hits, it just tastes like a hoppy quality IPA with citrus notes. Probably makes a good palate cleanser.

The initial taste sensation was of bad home-brew - the stuff you make as a poor student when you can't afford to be buy anything from the pub or bottle-store.
After that, it went down really smoothly and the flavour reminded me instead of banana-cake or banana ice-cream in liquid form. Actually seemed to improve the more I drank and a few subtleties started to emerge. Overall, not bad but you've got to get over the initial misgivings.

Rogue Santas Reserve Red Ale 5% - yum: fairly sharp bitter/hops taste but goes down smoothly

Liking this one, tastes almost exactly the same as the 4 Pines India Summer Pale Ale but you get six for the price of four... and it's West Australian - so I'm being Statriotic...

Schneider & Sons 8.2% Tap 6 Wheat Beer - tasty (almost like a barley wine) but a little too potent for my liking.

Fairly mediocre summer here so far. Still, an aptly named Sunshine Pipeline 5% Pilsener went down a treat on the day before returning to work. Nice, easy drinking, lightly carbonated (not to fizzy) with a nice touch of bitterness. Could be an awesome summer session beer.

Its more beer-paraphernalia than beer per se ...
