Looks gruesome. Looks like someone bled out quite a bit.

First of all, I really like this image. Question (more for my own education than as a critique): Would the image have been even better if the mountains in the background were made more prominent while still capturing the condition of the house? Would a telephoto shot with the associated compression of perspective have worked? It just so happens that I attempted to make a similar statement in a photograph the other day but couldn't position myself for the correct perspective.

Thanks for the comment. I was doing a lot of cropping with my lens. These photos were to the immediate right of where I was, and if I remember correctly, there was also some garbage to the left. The house is 350 miles away, but I get to the area often so I will try another shot with a longer lens, taken further back.

More abandonment on the old homestead.

These three all capture the mountains nicely. Were they shot with the same focal length as the other one?

The original image and the first one I posted today were shot at 28mm with the 12-40 Pro. I was standing in almost the same spot for both of them. The second and third posted today were with the 40-150 Pro + MC-14 at 60mm and 63mm. These 2 lenses are my favorite "driving around and shooting photos" lenses.
