Believe the first site had something to do with an uranium mining operations. Second image was a happening honky-tonk back in the uranium mining boom days...out in the Wyoming boonies!!

That is the bitch with shooting amazing spaces. Even if we see something we want to shoot, it's too easy to get distracted. When I saw @Harvey Melvin Richard's photos of our shoot, I was bummed I had missed the obvious of going below to shoot the amazing machines. I had planned to!

I first came upon this property about 15 years ago when asked to do some work there.
I was horrified at the amount of neglect to what once was one of the grandest mansions in the county.
Originally constructed in around 1800, it was finally abandoned from the 1950's.

There is good news however.
The estate was sold to a local farmer, who has now commenced work in restoring the property to its former glory.

My wife is fascinated by the old farmhouses and country dwellings, so after discovering that there's a public footpath going through the land, we went for a walk and I managed to get a few photos of work they'd started doing there.
It appears that they were renovating the old barns, with a view to renting them out to generate some income, to help pay for the main restoration.

I've since learnt that work on the old mansion has commenced and that it is almost ready for occupation.
