Found a couple threads but nothing dedicated to surf action shots so here we go.

I think these can be some of the hardest photos to take due to the often extreme reach needed not to mention sun and glare.

The following were all shot with the E-M1 using a Canon 85-300 F4.5 with 2X converter with a speed booster, all zoomed at 300mm so effective length of 300x2x2x.72 = 864.
All handheld, only basic cropping, resize and a little sharpening.
Critique welcome of course.

Biggest seas we have seen in a while here on the coast. This guy got towed out by a surf ski to the back breakers. Unfortunately I got down there just when it was starting to settle down. Surf was even bigger earlier. by Noonan Photo & Video, on Flickr
