Here's a new thread that will give we elder statesman, for lack of a better term, a chance to show off our grandchildren. Lord knows we love to do it..

I'll open with two more from this evening...

    Carson age 6 & Margaret age 4.

    Alright, thanks for posting.

There are enough of us "experienced" folks here to have lots of material for this thread.

    Where's Gary's beautiful grandson?

Found this vanishing form of communication while out walking in a park with a grandson and thought why not.

I'm at LEAST a few years away. Could be a lot longer - the 1 of our 2 daughters most likely to have kids is hoping to start medical school next year and the other one I just have trouble seeing with kids, although I guess these things can change. I'm gonna be a GREAT grandpa some day, but I'm gonna have to live vicariously through others for the foreseeable future, so thanks for posting these!!!

    Thread discovery

    Hi folks,

I started this thread almost 1 month ago, and it didn't see any action until now. It looks like most of the visitors are too young to pass the ID check.

Take heart. My friend Mickey is 4 years older than me. His youngest just completed her residency at Columbia, got married and is pregnant! All in the past 14 months.

His oldest married 18 months ago and has provided him with a grandson only recently!

So take heart, you have miniature portrait subjects on the way!

    Cheers, Alan

ps. I'm glad someone found this thread!
