It doesn't get dark until about 11 this time of year. So it's more like a golden 2 hours. I took this photo at 9:28

Haven’t had much opportunity to get out and take photos since returning to PA from Sydney. I decide to break the drought and go out this morning to photograph the sunrise from the local walking path near home.

I’ve been hoping to get a shot of the Neowise comet now for a few weeks. But each time I have a free evening the weather doesn’t want to cooperate. Yesterday seemed no different...I get home from work on a Friday night and am treated to steady pouring rain. Well 2 hours later the rain had stopped and I could see little ribbons of blue peeking through the clouds. I scramble to grab my gear and quickly head out to the area I had scoped out earlier. I had my camera, two lenses, tripod, binoculars, and a camp chair. Notably, no bug spray! Camped out for just over two hours and the elusive comet was never visible. Best I could tell it stayed just behind a bank of clouds that seem to never shift even a little bit up or down. But other than the solid layer of mosquitos that were thick enough to be audible over the distant traffic it was a pretty relaxing evening camped out beside the train tracks. The previous two pictures were taken at various times while waiting and this iPhone shot was taken to text to my wife so she knew I had set up camp. You can see the narrow ribbon of clear sky that I had to work with. Even 2 hours later the slice of clear sky hadn’t widened and I had no chance at glimpsing the comet. Maybe next time!

A couple of nights ago I was busy browsing this forum (as ever) when I became aware of a wonderful glow outside my window.
Realising that the rain and mist had cleared and that it was around sunset, I thought it might be worth having a look.
I grabbed my OM10 with 9mm body cap attached, jumped in the car and drove 2 miles to the coast, just in time to see the sun disappear behind the cliffs.
However, I gave it a go and managed these few shots of a reasonable sky.
jpegs, cropped and sharpened ever so slightly.
I feel they're not too bad with the 9mm that Olympus only classify as an accessory, not a lens.
