I've always found the blue hour tricky, but sometimes I can eek out a nice result. E-m1ii, ISO 200 (love that IS), Laowa 7.5mm

An unbelievable combo of a fast developing thunderstorm and golden hour and probably the best sunset experience in my life. All from my apartment balcony! I have plenty more GWB golden/blue hour shots from other days.

2019-08-11 New York City, George Washington Bridge Storm Sunset

Beautiful day in NYC today! Sun crossed right into NYC-side bridge tower today. Shot this one from one of the apartment windows as it made for a nice alignment. I even got an unexpected surprise, someone walked out to their balcony to lend me their silhouette (pure luck) in the adjacent building just as I started shooting. That "Blue hour" goes for a long time where / when this was taken. And you get a "UFO" to boot!

I like the UFO a lot What was it? By a huge coincidence I photographed one yesterday evening too. My wife wears prescription sunglasses for some rare astigmatism she has and she said she saw a huge disc come soaring across the bay, making a noise like a windmill as it went. I never saw anything, but she swore it was real, as did one other person on the beach. I was taking a photo at the time of the boat in the distance, but had yet to zoom in on it. I think I may send this photo to the Daily Mail. They really liked the last photo I sent them of a rabid African Killer Spider invading my home. It bit my daughter eight times and she had to have her waist amputated.

**cough**
