I have just been going back through some of my Panasonic G1 images of Lincoln Cathedral from January 2017 and thought these might do here (slightly image heavy):

The low winter sun threw some wonderful colours from the stained glass windows onto the pillars

Hello all,

In the skies above us this year we have 2 Swallows, when we first moved here 10 years ago we had clouds of them noisily screeching across the sky.

Earlier this year I saw an old pallet outside a local house and asked if I might have it, it just fitted into my little Kia. The bottom layer is full of rocks and stones, ground nesting insects are already using it. The next layer (I cut the pallet in half) has got long dried grasses, bits of branches and old shrub roots in it. Above that is a log I scrounged off a tree feller and some roots I dug out of the garden after taking down a conifer. I bought the insect home ready made on eBay. I'm also digging a micro pond behind the pallet.

LF1, ISO80, f2.0, 1/320th, -1/3 rd EV, reduced in Ps to 1000px long side, 0.9px Unsharp Mask, slight tonal adjustment with Curves. Saved at level 12, 1,440kb, used Irfan View and Lanczos resampling to reduce to 180kb.

Cheers

Hadn't really taken the GF1 out and about for a long time so gave it an airing with the 14mm f2.5
