For years I've driven past this stand of paddock trees and promised I'd stop one day. Today - in misting rain, and arrived at with unexpectedly muddy shoes - was that day.

Panasonic GX7 with 14-140ii, edited with Snapseed app.

Starkly standing. Wimmera, Australia.

Edit: I don't know why, but when I link from Flickr via the app on my phone, the full image doesn't show, I can only see the link. Does anyone know what I've done wrong?
No idea, but it looks great over on Flickr

I don’t see an easy way to share the image directly from the Flickr app. Just a link to the Flickr page for the image. Maybe someone else knows a way.

As a work-around, you can use your phone’s web browser (not the Flickr app) to go to the image page on Flickr and use the sharing menu there to get the bbcode for sharing here.

Tree in the parking lot at Trump National Golf Course in Pine Hill, NJ.

Fun Fact #1 If you use Google Earth, look up Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, NJ. Zoom out a tiny bit, then you will see another club very close by, Pine Valley Golf Course, the #1 Golf Club in the world. I’ve lived around these towns most of my life and never ever saw any existence of Pine Valley. Allegedly Donald Trump acquired this golf club due to its proximity to the Pine Valley Golf Course.

Fun Fact #2 Next, on Google Earth, search for 12 New Freedom Road, Clementon, NJ. This house sits on the edge of the Pine Valley Golf Course. This was Al Capone’s hideout in the 1920’s.

The tree is still alive but it has pigface growing all over it. It can be quite windy here...

A nice little stand of mature eastern red cedar. I wish you could smell them!

Not a lot of colour around here for a few more months. This looks pretty much the same in black and white.
