Last late summer I stumbled upon the trees in my town and their importance to the appearance of the surrounding city scape. This was one of my most favorite shots of my digital photo walk.

Planning an exhibition of my friends and my full analog big scale cyanotypes made from negative over an enlarger (no direct copies), I started to develop this into a series. I reproduced the shot about a week later with a Pentacon six TL, hassling in my lunch break with setting up the tripod and filters several times in the middle of that street. Cars came from my back or crossed before the building, or people went by slowly. Just in time, when I needed to rush back, it was all clear and I set and I got the shot. You see the later time in the missing top leaves.

'vor Leopoldina', 19.5 h enlarger exposure time, appr. 12x enlargement from 6x6 negative, cyanotype on aquarel paper.
