Some overly large aspen leaves. These are 4 or 5 times larger than a normal leaf. There were several clumps of these On different trees in an aspen grove.

In Scotland they nominate trees for "Tree of the Year". I wonder if this has been a candidate or winner? If indeed it is in Galloway and not south.

It's the famous sycamore at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's Wall, so not in Scotland but in Northumberland. Sometimes called 'Robin Hood's Tree' because it appears in the film 'Prince of Thieves'.
