Nice series and here is my contribution. I actually was searching for a couple of hrs for the ONLY ONE rain shoot when I was caught in a big thunder storm and snapped this fisher main walking in this pouring rain with his fishing rod. I love that shot but just cant find it!
    Here is one ---

Thanks for starting this thread and I can for see lots shooting opportunity for all of us on RAIN. I live right smack on the equator and there is plenty of rain over here - meaning I should have lots of rainy pics to share. Hopefully!

    cheers

Thought I'd post more seeing as the rainy season finally started in HK today. Not much light so out with the ring flash and PL45. Stinky Jasmine flower and bud.

    Awesome rainbow!

Is that a windmill at the bottom of the photo, 1/3 of the way in from the right hand side?

And ... is this cropped from a wide lens or stiched together from multiple images? Curious

Thanks Stephen, I hope it was fitting to post here.

I took this a little while ago during the first few days of owning the GF1 and I was racking my brain last night because I remembered taking a few pictures of it. At the time I couldn't get the whole rainbow in the picture and it didn't really mean much so sorta I forgot about it. As I went back through the pictures last night I was really excited because I could see a few pictures that i could stitch. It was really tricky because back in those days I was shooting Jpeg and to try to get the sky colour and exposure to match up was a bit of a job ( and none of the images were taken with exposure lock). I got it pretty good by changing the colour tint and kept stitching them until it looked ok.

So this is a panorama of 3 image stitched in Double Take. I'm glad I kept the images way back then because a full rainbow like this is as rare as hens teeth.

And yes that is a windmill you can see. A tough old Southern Cross

Absolutely fitting to post here - and nice work on stiching these together! Thanks for sharing the technique - I can't see any tell-tale evidence that this is not from a single image. I actually thought it was a crop from either a 7-14 or a 9-18mm lens.

Great shot! I keep coming back to this again and again - I immediately saw the rain, but it wasn't until the second time that I looked at it that I saw the out of focus outline of the umbrella ...
