I am waiting on the 23mm f/1.4 as I find the 35mm FL on crop a bit too tight
At the moment I'll stick to zooms with the Fuji though
Had the X100 for a week and it's a very steep learning curve! Thankfully the forums are full of tips on how to tame this beast. I have to say I've struggled with the auto focus at times but it can be a very rewarding camera. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the lightening AF on my G3 and EPM1. Despite the niggles I just want to keep using it.
A couple of these shots have more noise than they should. I had DR set to auto with the intention of not using the RAW files. So some were very underexposed when importing into Lightroom. You live and learn.
As a stay at home Dad, this is pretty much all I get to photograph
I like these! Nice work on the post-processing, I like the colors and tone curve you've got going there. I'm sure they're even more meaningful for you than they would be for me, for the obvious reasons

Thanks! It's nice to get feedback. Most people seem bemused by my new found hobby, so forums like this are a place of sanctuary
I have to admit to assistance with the post processing. I saw a review of VSCO's new 04 slide film emulation and immediately fell in love with the colours and tone curves. I didn't really care for their previous packs, judging from examples I'd seen and almost didn't bother reading the review. I didn't feel comfortable having the skill to pull off photographs that would suit that faded and classic look. So for the past couple of days I've been using 04 and tweaking the tone curves and colours to taste. It just seems to work for me. Of course it also has specific X100 profiles for each film and lots of Fuji films including the ones in the camera itself such as Provia, Astia and Velvia.
Hah, I just bought VSCO Film 04 myself... I've been using modified Film 01 and 02 presets for a while but I only ever use a couple of them. What I've done is modify the VSCO defaults to my taste, then I apply them to a set and tweak individual photos further if needed.
The 04 pack seems to be my favorite, and I like many of the presets that it includes instead of just one or two. I haven't dialed in my preferences yet to make it part of my regular workflow, but I suspect once I have it will add at least 3 or 4 options to my arsenal of commonly used presets.
Beautiful shots! If you did these while still on a learning curve, does that mean I'm on the less-than-starting-point area?
