Another bee on butterfly milkweed flowers.
E-P5+60mm/f2.8 macro lens; 1/500 s, f/11, ISO 800, EV -0.3. [I think I used in addition the Raynox DCR-250.]

Speaking of milkweed, here's a "milkweed bug" that was instead found on a concrete walkway, sucking the "nectar" out of an ant's head... apparently this is not unheard of.

Ant head nectar is one of my favorite late night treats.
I'm looking forward to trying it. Hopefully looking forward to trying it will be enough of a jinx to prevent the usual invasion of the apartment this summer.

I don't have a macro lens but I noticed these flowers that grow on vines.

All the bugs seem to be attracted to them. Ants are always crawling all over them and tonight I saw wasps on them.

Any idea why the insects would do this?
