I'm not normally that fond of ducks and don't, as a rule, photograph them. But I thought it strange that this duck had such cute ducklings. Just before I took this shot, a seagul swooped in and ate one of the ducklings. There were three, and I guess at some point there were several more because the mother seemed unperturbed at losing a duckling like that. If my lens wasn't so old and slow to focus I might have gotten that shot. Instead, I just have this strange looking duck with two ducklings and who knows how long they will live.

What a difference a firmware upgrade can make. I discovered my Metabones EF/M43 Smart Adapter had a firmware update and did the update yesterday thinking.... yeah... so what.

Well, it made a huge difference in AF speed and accuracy with the ancient Sigma 300mm f4 APO Tele Macro in Canon EF mount on the EM1.2.

Some birds who consented to model for the new firmware this afternoon.
