The Varied Thrush is one the most active bird that visits my very dark yard in winter.

What has happened to its wing? Is that wing pens sticking out?
Hope it is not hurt.

I don't know - when I first saw it I thought he had his foot turned up, which I have often seen. But when I processed the photo I realised it looks like the bare bit of feathers. It doesn't seem to move far, or hasn't lately. Been in pretty the same spot as last weekend.

Maybe it is so wounded that it can't fly, is there any animal protection organisation or state veterinary that could do something?
If you send them the picture they might be able to determine if something should be done.
