The 12-40 Pro works okay for birding - when mounted on an E-M5 MkII on remote control via the Olympus app on the front deck with the local matriarch hen blackbird harassing my cat (a daily routine..). Camera on a small gorilla pod about 24 inches (40 cm) from the subject. Uncropped.

Thanks - had solid wifi connection up to nearly hour, but no return visit by the bird and camera battery on zero when I retrieved it.
