From a moving (motorised) kayak. Saw lots of darters and other unidentified water fowl but the one thing that I've learned............................keep moving and I've a chance of a shot but the moment I stopped, they flew off. The lake/dam is only at 56% capacity and there is no vegetation at the edges so they're easily spooked. It's 7 yrs since I was here and it was at 93% back then and you could get up close with wild boar and deer at the waters edge but we're in drought now. I thought that I might get some early morning shots with wildlife exposed having a drink but it's a private access rd that I'm not allowed in till 5.30am so I guess they've done their ablutions by then :-(
The little baby blackbird had found it's wings, perched a bit precariously. Sorry chopped one leg off, but my dog was whining and jumping up, as he had lost his point of interest. The bird flew/lurched off, and over the fence.
