I planned on going to Binna burra and O'reillys for a couple of days camping last week but both are burnt out so I'll have to do make do with the local populace until the fires are out and the road cleared. I just hope the bird population returns.

I love the feeder, is it packed with suet?
I think it is coconut oil/milk solidified, with just a quarter of the shell cut away. I filled one with coconut oil and wild bird seed, and let it set (after it was emptied by the birds), and the sparrows love it. The other I filled with just coconut oil, and let it set, and that's what the waxeyes love. I think they would like suet as well. I often see them in the silverbirch, but not sure what they eat there - insects maybe? Need to Google their diet :)

Very nice series.
Love the Swallows. Beautiful

Interesting, the second photo shows a nest nearly completely closed up. Is that normal?
Ours build nests with much more headroom.
thanks,
I think it's normal (as the second one is house martins, I think...)

couple more swallows..
