I think this very elegant scrounge had just finished a pile of putrefied perfection, was busy ruminating and in no hurry to fly. The turkey vulture posed thru 2 lens changes.

Blue wrens are never far away, but they've become more noticeable lately!

Well, Harvey, it had its wings out, so maybe it was thinking about - wishing, even - that it could fly?! 😉

I've never seen Eastern Rosellas on my property before this year - that's not to say they haven't come here, as I have seen them a few kilometres away, but it was a delight to see them. They're one of my favourite Australian parrots.

SOOC JPEG.

This female seems to have taken over control of the feeder from one of the males. She must be sending him a message 😝

At first I only saw two white-naped honeyeaters, but then I watched more come to drink on top of the tank. Honeyeaters are boisterous, snappy, fast birds, so I was pleased with this shot. SOOC.

First spotted this male Belted Kingfisher perched on an upper limb and got a few shots. Before I could do anything, it dove into the water and came up to a lower branch with lunch in its bill. Seems like it all happened in a second. I am in awe of photographers that capture these birds just as they hit water. Highly cropped image.
