Thank you, Lyle! I was surprised that both hummingbirds had what looked like the same thing in their beak! :(

This is the image of a hummingbird's tongue I was really looking for when I posted my previous pic. It is from long ago (prior to my m43 days), and I had to go searching for it.

Good Evening,

A quick kayak paddle prior to thunderstorms here in CT. This is my first time using the MC-14 TC with the 40-150mm Pro; very pleased with the sharpness.

Regards,

Edd

Grabbed the bag and headed over to a pond I'd noticed to shoot some landscapes, never even thought about birds. The longest lens I had was the 50-200. In addition to these there were many others including Gold Finches, Killdeers, Swifts, etc. etc. Most of these are pretty large crops, I need to head back over with the 100-400.

Common grackle, but the sun was lighting him nicely.

This bluebird looks pretty smug. He seems pleased to present his butt.

A couple of our more common birds, but they were posing nicely.

I remember shooting this with the Olympus 60mm Macro because the AF speed was so much faster on the EM1 than the 50-200 SWD, which struggled to keep up with these small birds as they darted back and forth on this feeder.
