Good Afternoon,

From a short paddle late this morning; I followed this GBH for a while but lunch was not to be found, at least in my presence...

Regards,

Edd

Excellent to see.
I'm curious if you just provide a bare box with hole and the birds do the nest building inside the box?
Do they line it with feathers, leaves etc?
Usually I provide some material for them to nest on. In this birds case I used pine needles but wood shavings ,small twigs also work. Sorry it took me so long to answer you. I'm up in the country hog hunting and don't check the forum very often.

Female house finch and a crow that did not seem happy that I was photographing her nest, even from pretty far away (and below).

I put out a hummingbird feeder at the beginning of the year and have been attempting to capture hummingbird pictures. They don't visit the feeder too often, so it is certainly an exercise in patience. The picture below is not a technically greatest photo, but it is the best I have managed so far.

It is a female Ruby Throated Hummingbird.
