Shocking quality I know but I think I got my first photo of a Kestrel. I was on my way to Padley Gorge this morning when two birds landed on this fence. It was just after sunrise so I just set the camera to auto ISO, Photo taken @ ISO 6400.
By the time I got my camera out and swapped lenses one had flown off, I managed to get three shots off before this one followed the other.

Edit: For an ISO 6400 shot I doesn't look too bad on here.

don't be too hard on yourself Phil
I reckon it's very nice and would be very pleased to have that.
Trouble is I'd probably say what you said - Oh dear!😀

Thanks Richard.
It was one of them if only moments, If only it was later in the day with good light. I'm still well chuffed to have seen them and getting a photo is a bonus.

If you didn't say so, I wouldn't have guessed this is ISO6400. Nice image by the way.

Cheers

Hung the feeder back up for fall/winter, and no sooner do I get inside and the chickadees show up. They had a lot on their minds, too.

Kind of an unexpected shot of a Tern coming out of the water, flipping in air, with a fish in its mouth.
